SSC Stenographer Syllabus

Like the exam pattern, the Syllabus for SSC Stenographer exam is also decided by the Selection Commission only.

1. General Intelligence & Reasoning: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.
2. General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidates’ general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test the knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
3. For VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability, there will be no component of Maps/Graphs/Diagrams/Statistical Data in the General Intelligence & Reasoning/ General Awareness Paper.
4. English Language & Comprehension: In addition to the testing of candidates’ understanding of the English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc., his/ her writing ability would also be tested.

SSC Stenographer Admit Card

Admit card for SSC Stenographer Exam 2022 was released on 9th November 2022 on the official regional websites of SSC.

The Staff Selection Commission releases the SSC Stenographer Admit Card one week before the SSC Stenographer examination.

SSC GD Eligibility Criteria

SSC GD Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of SSC GD is divided into four stages:

1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE):This is an online test that consists of objective-type questions and multiple-choice questions which has four sections:
   • General Intelligence and Reasoning

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This test assesses the candidate’s physical fitness on the basis of height parameters and he/ she needs to undergo PET (race) which is followed by a biometric/ technology-aided identification test.
3. Physical Standard Test (PST): This test evaluates the physical standards of the candidates on the basis of three factors – height, chest and weight.
4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Shortlisted candidates who pass the PET and PST are required to go through a detailed medical examination and are medically examined by the Medical Boards constituted by the CAPFs to assess their physical and medical fitness.

The SSC GD syllabus comprises a Computer-Based Examination (CBE) which includes an objective-type paper of 100 marks, which needs to be answered in a duration of 90 minutes.

SSC CGL Admit Card

SSC CGL Exam Admit Cards/ Admission Certificates (ACs) will be uploaded on the website of the concerned Regional/ Sub-Regional Office of the Commission.
